2008 Rider Comments

What a beautiful ride. This ride was great. I loved every minute of it.

It was a great ride. There is so much that goes in to carrying off such an event, & RAPS — among the best NW rides — is one of the top organized rides I've enjoyed.

Fantastic! Great food & nice to have bike mechanics present

This ride has the best rest stops for the setting & food. I love that each stop has different offerings. On the cooler days the warm calzones & wraps really hit the spot. The fruit/yogurt — yum.

Great convenient location, plenty of parking, great to have showers at the finish

It appears there are meaningful incremental improvements each time, & it's a huge asset to our local cycling community.

Best part of RAPSody! Perfect! Well spaced, right food for the time of day

Route was drop dead gorgeous. Very tiny number of 'Junk Miles' — amazing for a ride of this length

Can't believe how many support vehicles I saw — thanks!]

The route alterations for this year get a GOLD MEDAL. This was my 4th or 5th RAPSody. The routes always have been nice, but this was terrific. Day 1 in particular was a GREAT improvement (& so were the changes to Day 2)

I was impressed w/the community support & courtesies. In Port Orchard, where we had to turn left onto Pottery Rd, I missed the left turn signal & might have been stuck there since the bike won't trigger the left turn arrow. A policeman across from me saw my plight, turned on his flashing lights, beeped his PA system & waved me across. Very nice.
The next day I was riding north on Old 99 in Nisqually I dropped a water bottle I pulled off to retrieve it & the car behind me had stopped to give me a chance to get it. I don't normally expect that sort of thing. All along the route people seemed to be conscious of the bikes & would give us a break.
