  • Thorough understanding of and experience with public decision making processes on a state, county and local level.
  • Ability to work effectively in legislative and political processes.
  • Direct involvement in a grass roots advocacy project.
  • Understanding of and connection to the cycling community.
  • Non-profit experience at the board, volunteer or staff level.
  • Experience with strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated management experience including hiring, training and managing staff.
  • Financial management experience including preparing and managing a budget.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional image.
  • Background in fund raising and membership development.
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
