- Thorough understanding of and experience with public decision making processes on a state, county and local level.
- Ability to work effectively in legislative and political processes.
- Direct involvement in a grass roots advocacy project.
- Understanding of and connection to the cycling community.
- Non-profit experience at the board, volunteer or staff level.
- Experience with strategic planning.
- Demonstrated management experience including hiring, training and managing staff.
- Financial management experience including preparing and managing a budget.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Professional image.
- Background in fund raising and membership development.
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
