Bike Parking FAQs
Q: Can I lend my access card key to a friend?
A: No. Only the registered person assigned the card key can use it to gain access to the facility.
Q: Do I get a reserved parking space?
A: All parking spaces are first come first serve. Any personal property such as locks must be removed from individual racks with the bike. Locks can be left on site using the clearly marked lock bars which are part of the larger frame to which the individual racks are attached.
Q: How can I add more uses to my PPU service plan? Do my uses expire?
A: You can purchase additional blocks of uses either online, or at the facility during
regular business hours. PPU uses do not expire and remain in your account until needed. See PPU Policy.
Q: How can I find out how many PPU uses I have left?
A: Call or email anytime, or drop by the facility during business hours, and your
account can be checked. Access card keys will stop working when all uses are gone.
See PPU Policy.
Q: Why should I pick PPU over an Annual or Monthly Plan?
A: The PPU (Pay-per-Use) plan is used for infrequent short term parking. If you expect
to park regularly or for long stretches, a Monthly or Annual plan might be better for you.
See PPU Policy.
Q: My access card isn't working. Help?
A: Access card keys will stop working when all PPU uses are gone, or when your Annual
or Monthly Plan expires. Call or email anytime, or drop by the facility during business hours, and your
account can be checked. You can also renew your unlimited Montly or Annual plan or add uses to your PPU plan
online.
Q: I am a Bicycle Alliance member. Do I get a discount?
A: Yes. Bicycle Alliance of Washington members get a $20 discount
when they purchase or renew an Annual service plan.
Q: Can I get a tune-up at Bikestation?
A: Yes. JRA Bikes specializes in commuters and most repairs are done in a day.
Services include flat repair, tune-ups, component upgrades, wheel building, and trouble-shooting any problems.
The mechanic is available Monday through Friday only and can be reached at 206-307-1179.
Q: What if I have a mechanical problem with my bike when the bike shop is closed?
A: Repair tags and instructions for leaving your bike to be worked on are provided.
There are also a shop stand with basic tools, a bicycle pump and a vending machine onsite with spare tubes, patch kits, etc.
Q: I own several bikes, so can I park more than one with my registration?
A: You can park all of the bikes you own, but only one at a time. All Bikestation users will be given tags to identify bike(s) as registered under a service plan, or as a walk in PPU. All Bikestation customers must use a tag to identify their bikes parked at Bikestation.
Q: Is there some kind of a contract I need to sign?
A: Yes. Read our: Contract and Waiver
and PPU Policy.
